As of June 2019, the series had sold over 20 million units worldwide. The Rabbids have gone on to appear in other expanded media, such as a TV show and a feature film currently in development, as well as making guest appearances in other Ubisoft games. The success of the Rabbid characters led the developers to create more games in the franchise, eventually leading to the removal of the Rayman character from the franchise entirely.
The popularity of the characters, aided by various viral videos and media appearances, led Raving Rabbids to become its own separate franchise, dropping the Rayman name as of 2009's Rabbids Go Home.

The Rabbids are chaotic, crazy, and wild, trying to take over the world and leaving chaos in their wake, but they also like to have fun and goof off. They also have very short, stubby legs, and have no fingers on their paws, though they do have thumbs. The Rabbids has two giant buckteeth and dark blue eyes, but turns red when they're mad.
The Rabbids have resemble albino rabbits with white fur and a hairless belly, mouth and ears.
